Fat bikers of all levels and abilities will give it their best shot at "Rocking the Ridge" through up to 40 km of pristine Crimson Ridge Trails
A fun, challenging course that is meant to test the abilities of all who participate. Whether you are a casual rider, or a competitive person, we encourage you to take part and test yourself!
EVENT SCHEDULE
Start Time
- 40 KM challenge (all ages) will begin at 11:00 am (NEW TIME)
- 20 KM challenge (all ages) will begin at 12:15 am (NEW TIME)
- 10 KM challenge (all ages) will begin at 12:30 am (NEW TIME)
- Final challenge distances will be determined the morning of the event based on conditions. If soft & slow conditions the 40 km challenge will be reduced to 30 km.
Buffet & Beverage
- Join us in the restaurant after you finish for some great food courtesy of Embers on the Ridge. Menu includes:
- Beef Stew
- Garlic Bread
- Fries
- Caesar Salad
- Vegetarian option available upon request
- Molson is providing a complimentary beverage for each participant after the challenge
Prizes
- After the event has completed, we'll have a draw prize table and will have a Completion Prize for anyone who "Rocked the Ridge"!

Entry Fee
- Crimson Ridge Winter Activity Members: $60 per person
- Regular Price: $75 per person
- Velorution, Algoma Bikes & Duke of Windsor Staff: $50 per person
- REGISTRATION CLOSES THURSDAY, JANUARY 16TH @ 11:59 PM (NO DAY OF REGISTRATION - MUST PRE-REGISTER)

- Opportunity to practice the course the day prior at no charge

COURSE & ROUTE INFORMATION
THE 2025 ROUTE
The course will take place on Crimson Ridge trails and take competitors through scenic views, waterfalls and over 400 m of elevation. There will be challenging climbs with fast descents! The trails will appeal to all levels of riders.
This year we've designed a route that is about 10 km in length.
The 10 km group will do 1 lap
The 20 km group will do 2 laps
The 40 km group will complete 4 laps
This is a closed course event. You should not see other pedestrians out on the course. There will be signage at all the intersections to guide you along the way as well as staff and volunteers helping with directions.

SAFETY
We will be doing everything we can to ensure your safety but you must be prepared for highly variable conditions. Temperatures can fluctuate quickly. There will be a rest, medical and food station set up on the course to stop at along the way.
The course is machine groomed for fat biking and has a variety of terrain that's narrow in sections and more open in others. More details will be sent to registered competitors as we get closer to the date.
All participants will be required to wear appropriate gear for the conditions and a helmet.
